5. David Durden Jr, WR, West Florida

A popular sleeper for the 2023 Draft, David Durden had an unconventional path to the NFL, as covered by Kalyn Kahler of the Athletic, and chose the Cowboys over a host of other suitors after not hearing his name called on draft weekend.

Checking in at 6-1, 204 pounds, with impressive testing numbers, including a 4.46 40 yard dash, Durden will look to compete for the "Noah Brown" role in the Cowboys offense. With CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Brandin Cooks, and Jalen Tolbert firmly entrenched in the top 4 wide receiver spots, the fifth spot will have intense competition that will likely come down to versatility and special teams value.

No other receiver on the roster has Durden's combination of size, speed, blocking ability, and return ability (17.7 yards per punt return and one touchdown last season) which will give him a chance of locking in the last receiver spot on the 53 man roster.
