3. Devin Harper

A sixth round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Harper was viewed as a player who could contribute immediately on special teams.

Sadly, Harper's rookie year was derailed by an injury. Now he faces added competition on special teams in the form of 2023 third-round pick DeMarvion Overshown, who's flashed on defense and special teams at training camp.

Not only does Harper have to battle with Overshown, but Jabril Cox is another year removed from ACL surgery and expected to have a role on defense and special teams.

While Cox hasn't covered himself in glory with the Cowboys, but he has a better understanding of Quinn's defensive scheme and he's also having a strong camp. In other words, Harper needs to stand out in preseason or risk being cut this time around instead of being left on injured reserve like last season.
