5 Cowboys defenders on roster bubble before Week 1 of preseason
It's getting late early for these Cowboys defenders to emerge from the roster bubble.
4. Juanyeh Thomas
Thomas has had an impressive camp thus far, but he has an uphill battle to make the roster thanks to the top-heavy talent the Cowboys have at safety.
Thomas looks to be in competition with last year's darling undrafted free agent Markquese Bell who is also have a very good camp after taking over for the injured Donovan Wilson. The Cowboys would like to keep both players but there's only so many roster spots to go around and it's more likely Thomas is the odd man out.
The Cowboys will have their fingers crossed that Thomas slips through the cracks once again in order to get him on the practice squad.
Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how the safety situation plays out.
