3. Tony Pollard gets on track with 100 yards

Los Angeles has done a good job keeping the ground game going despite going from Cam Akers to Kyren Williams. They also stayed on task with Williams out last week. But when it comes to rushing defense, that's been a different story.

Entering Week 8, the Rams have the 20th-ranked rush defense after surrendering 819 yards on the ground through their first seven games. They're coming off one of their better performances after keeping the Steelers under 100 yards with 86 on the ground. As good as that was, they've struggled against solid running teams such as the 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Right now, Dallas isn't exactly a good rushing team even though the yardage says they are. After six games, they're 10th in the league with 718 yards but only 21st in average yards per rush with just 3.9 per carry.

The primary reason for those struggles has been the slow start for Tony Pollard. The Memphis product had his first 1,000-yard season in 2022 and is now playing on the franchise tag. So far, he has just 370 yards while averaging a career-low 3.9 yards per attempt.

In order to make a run in the second half of the year, the Cowboys need Pollard to take off. With an extra week to prepare for this game, it's the perfect time to see that happen. This prediction is that Pollard tops the 100-yard mark for just the second time this season.
