4. Brandin Cooks finally has a breakout game

Stephon Gilmore isn't the only former Patriot who will be on the field for Dallas this weekend as Brandin Cooks also spent time in New England. While Gilmore was there for four years, however, Cooks spent just one season with the Pats.

In 2017, he was traded by the New Orleans Saints to the Patriots along with a fourth round pick for a first and third rounder. He then caught 65 passes for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns before again being traded away. This time, the Pats sent him to the Los Angeles Rams and in 2018, the two teams faced off in the Super Bowl — which New England won.

All these years later, Bill Belichick will still be sure to keep an eye on Cooks. He knows even at 30 years of age, he can do some damage. The problem is, Belichick will also need to focus on CeeDee Lamb who has 19 receptions for 273 yards so far. He will also need to watch for Michael Gallup, who was great in Week 3 and now has 105 yards on eight catches.

Due to the attention they draw, the Patriots might have a hard time keeping Cooks contained without freeing up his teammates. That could be a good thing for him since he could really use a breakout game.

In just two games (Cooks missed Week 2 against the Jets), he has a mere four receptions on 11 targets for 39 yards. Dallas has tried to get him involved but it hasn't clicked.

Even so, this bold prediction is that Cooks finds some soft spots in the defense thanks to the double-teams Lamb commands and has his first breakout game with Dallas. Look for him to have at least five receptions for 80 yards, which will help him turn the corner going forward.
