4. Brandon Aubrey hits a 60-yard field goal

The Cowboys had one of the best kicking games in the NFL for seven years with Dan Bailey handing their field goals. Eventually, his accuracy slipped, and in came Brett Maher.

He was replaced with Kai Forbath and eventually Greg Zuerlein following a roller coaster of two seasons. But when Dallas let Greg The Leg go ahead of the 2022 campaign, Maher returned and was a beast.

Maher hit on 29-of-32 field goals and was one of the best in the league during the regular season. But then, the playoffs happened. Maher was off-target on five extra point tries in two games. Dallas stuck with him but once they were defeated by the 49ers, they made it clear they were moving on.

Speculation about the next kicker had the Cowboys targeting Mason Crosby or Robbie Gould. But in the end, it was former Notre Dame soccer player Brandon Aubrey who got the job.

Aubrey impressed special teams coordinator John Fassel while kicking for the Birmingham Stallions in the USFL. After two games in the NFL, he’s impressing everyone else.

Entering this game, he’s connected on all seven field goal attempts, and after an ugly first point after attempt, he’s hit the next five of them. Last week, he even drilled a 55-yarder that had possibly 10 yards to spare.

That’s why this prediction is that he delivers on a 60-yarder against Arizona while making every attempt yet again.
