1. Darious Williams, CB, Jacksonville Jaguars

In a surprising move ahead of free agency, the Jacksonville Jaguars released cornerback Darious Williams. While they were able to save $11.5 million in the move, it still made very little sense for them to move on from one of the only decent cornerbacks they had.

Formerly of the Los Angeles Rams, Williams signed a three-year deal worth $30 million after helping the Rams win a Super Bowl. He played two seasons with the Jags and in 2023, allowed a 69.6 passer rating when targeted (good for seventh best among cornerbacks) and had 15 pass defenses to go along with his four interceptions.

Williams, who is set to turn 31 in March, should have several interested teams. However, his age and size (5-foot-9 and 187 pounds) might keep teams from spending too much in free agency. Again, that could play into the hands of the Cowboys — who could be in the market for cornerback help if they're unable to retain Stephon Gilmore.

Ideally, they keep Gilmore who was added in a trade with Indianapolis last season. Gilmore started 17 games for Dallas and had 68 tackles, 13 pass defenses, and two picks. He's expressed a desire to return and the Cowboys would like that as well, but it all comes down to cost.
