2. Ben Banogu, edge rusher

One of the most recent additions to the Dallas Cowboys' roster is a very intriguing one. Former Indianapolis Colts second-round pick Ben Banogu is joining a loaded pass rush group that includes the likes of Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Sam Williams, Dorance Armstrong, and Dante Fowler Jr., among others.

There's not exactly a clear path to the roster here for Banogu but there is certainly an opportunity to impress everyone else. You never know what can happen in regards to the Cowboys' roster but the more likely scenario here is that Banogu would impress with the Cowboys and latch on elsewhere in the NFL.

The opportunity to play in Dan Quinn's defense could really highlight Banogu's overall athleticism. It's easy to write guys off, especially when he hasn't had any sacks since 2019, but I'm not counting out an athlete of this caliber shining throughout training camp and the preseason in Quinn's scheme.

Again, it's understandable why a player like this would be flying under the radar. He's probably not even on most people's radar. But the Cowboys have gotten some tremendous production out of their pass rushers under Dan Quinn and they might even be able to parlay a big preseason from Banogu into some additional draft capital if he has some trade value. Banogu is 27 years old already, but if he can string together a dominant preseason, teams will want to take a shot at him.
