2. Ronald Jones

The Cowboys running back room has grown since the NFL Draft and now stands at four total: Pollard, Jones, Vaughn, and Malik Davis. All four likely won't make the 53-man roster come September.

Pollard is a lock and with Vaughn's skill set, he has a pretty good chance to make the roster as well. Then, it will likely come down to Davis and Jones for the final running back spot.

Davis looked solid on the field when given the opportunity last season, but the team could decide to put him on the practice squad in favor of Jones. The 2x Super Bowl champ hasn't gotten many carries over the past two seasons, though, he can be a physical inside runner for the Cowboys.

In 2020 with the Buccaneers, Jones shared a backfield with Leonard Fournette. He had 192 carries for 978 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and seven rushing touchdowns. Most of his touchdowns actually came inside the five for Tampa Bay.

Jones had eight carries inside the five during that season and cashed in on five touchdowns. He also out-snapped Fournette, who is now known as a power back, 21-12 inside the 10 in 2020.

Jones isn't the biggest back at 5-foot-10, 208 pounds. But rather than going out and signing one, the Cowboys can roll with what they got and Jones seems like he can be that guy for Dallas this season.
