The Dallas Cowboys front office was busy this offseason both adding and getting rid of big-name players.

Their biggest moves this offseason were the additions of wide receiver Brandin Cooks and cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

Cooks gives the Cowboys another elite receiving option in the passing game. The wideout has six 1,000-yard seasons over his nine-year NFL career. As for Gilmore, he gives the team a boost in the secondary. The veteran is a former Defensive Player of the Year and two-time All-Pro corner.

On the other side, Dallas got rid of two fan favorites in running back Ezekiel Elliott and tight end Dalton Schultz. The team cut Elliott after a down year, which saved them $10.9 million toward their cap space. The Cowboys let Schultz walk in free agency following a down year.

As always, the Cowboys will enter the 2023 season with a slightly different team. There are a handful of returning players from a season ago and also plenty of new playmakers and rookies on both sides of the ball.

With new additions, some returning players will see less playing time and could fail to get many snaps this season.
