1. Mike Williams

Mike Williams might be too expensive for the Cowboys, but it remains to be seen how much he'll get paid after he was released by the Chargers. Williams is a marquee talent, but coming off a torn ACL and having played just two full seasons in seven years in the league, teams might be wary of signing him.

Williams' injury history shouldn't dissuade Dallas, however. The offense needs a physically-imposing X receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb, who can line up anywhere on the field but has been virtually unstoppable in the slot. Having averaged 15.6 yards per catch in his career, Williams would give the Cowboys a field-stretcher.

Brandin Cooks was expected to fill that void in 2023, but he managed just 12.2 yards per reception last season. It wasn't for a lack of trying, though. Prescott and Cooks' chemistry was often a yard off on most of their deep shots. Williams' combination of size and speed would make for an easier target for Prescott.

In a vacuum, the Cowboys need a clearcut WR2 opposite Lamb. Cooks is still a good player, but he's entering his age-31 season and isn't the deep threat he was early in his career. The offense was too dependent last season on Lamb four our liking. Signing Williams would give Dallas one of the best WR rooms in the NFL.
