2. Anthony Brown

There has not been much of a buzz on Anthony Brown since he hit the market. The Cowboys have opted to not bring him back so far this offseason, but he should not be completely ruled out. Dallas upgraded their cornerback room with the trade for Stephon Gilmore and DaRon Bland surprised most last season as a fifth round pick. With Trevon Diggs and Jourdan Lewis still around, Brown became expendable.

Like Bland, Brown stepped up big his rookie season as a sixth round pick from Purdue. The former Boilermaker had 55 tackles and one pick as Dallas' defense regained form. Brown would start the next five years as one of Dallas' corners. 2021 marked his best season with 71 tackles and three interceptions. He spent most of last season sharing starts with Lewis until he tore his Achilles late in the year, ending his season.

Coming off a serious injury, Dallas has opted to not bring him back so far. It is understandable with Diggs and Gilmore as the starting corners with Lewis and Bland backing them up. However, depth has always been a question mark for the Cowboys most years.

The teams that win big always have depth because injuries happen. In past years, Dallas struggled late in the season due to injuries at key positions. Bringing back Brown could provide even more help to a loaded defense.
