2. WR Cam Johnson

Unlike Peat, Johnson shined during his senior year. After spending four years at Vanderbilt and one at Arizona State, Johnson transferred to Northwestern and was a big part of the Wildcats' offense in 2023. He piled up 715 receiving yards and scored six touchdowns, both career highs.

Johnson also helped Northwestern improve from a dismal 1-11 season in 2022 to a 7-5 season last year with a victory over Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl. Despite having the best season of his college career, Johnson did not hear his name called during draft weekend. At 6'0" Johnson is classified as a possession receiver who can add another dimension to an offense. Dallas has talented receivers so the road will be tough for Johnson going into camp.

While Lamb and Brandin Cooks are the head of the class, beyond them the bottom end of the receiver depth chart is unknown. The favorite to take the number three spot is Jalen Tolbert, but will he take the next steps in 2024? The Cowboys also drafted Ryan Flournoy leading some to believe he may be looked at for that spot. Johnson's ticket to making the team could also come down to an injury of another player. Rarely does a team make it through camp unscathed.
