1. Justin Fields

The Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft which will be used on USC quarterback Caleb Williams. That meant Justin Fields was going to be done as the starter in the Windy City.

It had to be frustrating for Fields, who was forced to do far too much on his own in Chicago. They never would hire an offensive-minded coach and they waited until his third season in the NFL to get him a legit No. 1 wideout.

Once they added D.J. Moore in a trade with Carolina, Fields showed steady improvement. He started 13 games in 2023 and had 2,562 yards passing with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions (although one of those shouldn't have counted as Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was given credit for one on a Hail Mary that bounced off the turf).

In addition to his improved passing, Fields continued to perform well as a runner. He had 657 yards and four touchdowns and now has 2,220 yards and 14 scores under his belt.

Despite any of this, the Bears managed just a conditional sixth-round pick when trading Fields — which really makes the Trey Lance trade look awful. He's now with the Pittsburgh Steelers and if he doesn't take the job from Russell Wilson, he could wind up looking for a new home in 2025.

If Dak Prescott were to walk, Fields is someone they should go after in free agency. He wouldn't break the bank and they can use the savings to build around him. With a solid defense and some great receiving weapons, Fields could have success.
