3 Cowboys whose stock is plummeting before huge rematch vs Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys have a massive matchup in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles, a matchup that could potentially put this team in the driver's seat of the NFC East. The Eagles just lost their second game of the 2023 season against the San Francisco 49ers, and if the Cowboys can get a win this weekend, it would give them the same record as the Eagles as well as give the Cowboys an edge in the overall division standings.
But the Cowboys are going to need all hands on deck for this one. There are a number of players whose stock is plummeting leading up to this game, especially after what we saw against the Seattle Seahawks last Thursday night.
Which players are "stock down" going into this game, and who will be under the microscope?
1. Michael Gallup, WR
To say it's been a bad season for Michael Gallup would be an understatement. Every week that goes by is another week that the Dallas Cowboys undoubtedly live with regret that they chose to keep Gallup around instead of the far superior Amari Cooper. And Gallup once again was non-existent last week, this time in one of the most critical games of the season.
On just one target against the Seahawks, Gallup had 0 receptions and perhaps he's solidified himself as a non-factor for head coach Mike McCarthy at this point. Gallup might become a "break only in case of emergency" player for the offense before too long. His stock leading up to this Eagles game has probably never been lower.
