2. Nahshon Wright

Nahshon Wright has struggled to elevate past being the fourth to fifth cornerback on the depth chart since he was drafted in the third round in 2021. With his size and length at 6-4, the Cowboys were hoping they found a corner with good size who could play on the other side of Trevon Diggs. Needless to say that has not happened for Wright.

Dallas drafted corner Caelen Carson from Wake Forest in the fifth round. Even though he was a day three pick, the Cowboys' defensive back room just got more full. Diggs and DaRon Bland are the projected starters, Jourdan Lewis is coming back and the coaching staff seemed pretty high on Eric Scott Jr. after an impressive camp last season.

Going into his fourth season, Wright has the experience but the production does not match. In his first three seasons he has one career interception in 2022. While he has seen action on special teams, that will only keep you on an NFL team for so long. If Carson has as impressive of a camp as Scott did last year, he could leapfrog Wright easily on the depth chart. The former Oregon State Beaver should feel the pressure to hold onto his roster spot in 2024.
