2. Sam Williams in line for more snaps?

There are two clear starters on each side of the defensive line for the Cowboys, that being Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence. But who's next up? That is a battle between Dante Fowler Jr. and Sam Williams, both who had their good moments last season.

While Fowler is the veteran, its difficult to try to ignore the crazy good flashes Williams showed last year, especially in his game against Detroit. Now in the preseason and training camp, it appears the second-year edge has taken another step.

Both of these guys will see a good amount of snaps and rotation throughout the year, but it really seems like Williams has the inside track to more snaps, especially since he's the younger player and has a higher ceiling than Fowler. What is even more encouraging is that both are making each other better players throughout this battle.

Prior to coming to Dallas, neither players were necessarily good against the run. However, through hard practice and motivation to see the field, they both actually have now made some really good plays in run defense. While Williams should end up on top in terms of snaps, each will make a significant impact for this defense this year.
