Expectations are large for the Cowboys heading into the new season. Coming off back-to-back 12-win seasons, Dallas is regarded as one of the best teams in the NFL. Through free agency and the draft, they enjoyed a net gain in talent over the offseason and have their sights set on the highest prize in 2023.

Despite their immense success on the field and the stability of their roster over the offseason, many starters still surprisingly have room to grow.

Micah Parsons seems destined for a career season and maybe even a Defensive Player of the Year award. If Sam Williams can stay out of his own way, he too should have a career year as a rotational pass-rusher.

Jake Ferguson had a standout training camp and preseason and looks to carry the torch at tight end now that Dalton Schultz is out of the equation. Tyler Smith is expected to take an enormous leap in Year 2 playing alongside a healthy Tyron Smith.

The reasons for optimism and the expectations for growth is nearly endless. The Cowboys have a young roster with most major contributors on the upswing of their careers.

While improvement is expected across the board, and handful of players are expected to make a significant jump in their progression this season. Their current situation and their own progression up until now indicate a few key players could be in store for their first Pro Bowl season.

We highlight three of those Cowboys players today.
