Cowboys Stud: DeMarcus Lawrence, DE

Early in the game, the Cardinals offense was having their way with the Cowboys defense, They were bullying them and moving it right down the field and a touchdown run by James Conner put them up 9-0, with a chance to make it double digits.

Arizona tried to make it 11-0 when Osa Odighizuwa was flagged for being offsides, giving them a shot at the two-point conversion from the one-yard line. On that attempt, DeMarcus Lawrence broke through the line and stuffed Conner for a loss. It was the first positive play for the defense on the day as the veteran tried to give them something to build on.

Lawrence also forced Arizona into a fourth down right before the two-minute warning in the second quarter when he played a Josh Dobbs option play perfectly and took him down for a one-yard loss. A penalty forced the defense to play three more snaps before Matt Prater hit a field goal but Lawrence had done enough to give his team the ball right after the two-minute warning.

Dallas never got it going and their defense was bullied all day. But even with that being the case, Lawrence did all he could to turn things around. He had five tackles, two for a loss, and one sack to go along with his two-point conversion stop.
