2. Rashaan Evans, LB

The Cowboys don’t have a pressing need at linebacker, but the unit lacks depth behind Leighton Vander Esch and Damone Clark. Parsons playing more at the position would help matters, but we don’t envision Dan Quinn taking pass-rushing opportunities away from the Defensive Player of the Year finalist.

Linebacker is a position Dallas could target in the draft, but it couldn’t hurt to add another veteran to the room.

Enter Evans, who’s an underrated athlete who can double as a blitzing linebacker for Quinn’s defense. The only pitfall with Evans is that he’s not great in pass coverage, but he wouldn’t be signed as a three-down player.

Vander Esch and Clark are locked in as the starters. Evans would provide adequate insurance behind them in the event Jabril Cox fails to assert himself in the rotation. A former first-round pick of the Titans in 2018, Evans posted a career-high 159 tackles as one of the centerpieces of the Falcons defense in 2022.
