3. New York Giants (7-10)

The Giants surprised the NFL world last year when they not only found success with Daniel Jones at quarterback, but also managed to make the playoffs as a wild card team under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. The coaching staff is amongst one of the better ones in the NFL, especially with Wink Martindale joining the mix.

On offense, there should be more stability here than with the Commanders, but the ceiling is certainly capped due to an unimpressive offensive line and with Jones being more of a game manager than anything at the moment, however that has room to change in 2023. The skill positions is led by Saquon Barkley and Darren Waller, with upside relating to rookie Jalin Hyatt as well.

On the defensive side of the ball, the defensive line is great. Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence highlight a stout starting group with huge potential in 2022 top-10 pick Kayvon Thibodeaux. The cornerbacks are a very young group and will certainly decide just how good this defense can be.

The way this could pan out, at least in this prediction, mostly relates to the fact that they have a harder schedule and that they just don't match up well with either the Cowboys or Eagles and could drop all four games in the regular season against them. There is also expected regression due to teams now having a full year of film on Daboll's system and what their success looked like in 2022, so they will be better prepared for in 2023.
