Despite the Philadelphia Eagles' incredible season last year, the Dallas Cowboys managed to stay in the hunt for the division title leading up to the final two weeks of the season, even while missing Dak Prescott for five games. Now, the slate is clean, the teams in the division have all made some major changes, and Week 1 is approaching quickly.

The division has not had a repeat winner in almost 20 years, and that certainly could continue in 2023, but it also has a good chance to end. The Eagles took the crown last season, with the Cowboys winning it in 2021 and Washington finishing first with a whopping 7-9 record in the 2020 COVID-19 season.

This year, each team has a path to win the East this year. Can the Eagles overcome turnover on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball? Did the offseason additions for the Cowboys finally put them over the top? Can Daniel Jones take another step and become a true game-changer at the quarterback position? Is Sam Howell and the Washington defense the real deal?

The answers to all these questions could be what puts each team in prime position to win the division, but predictively, some are more likely than others. Starting from worst to first, we will predict exactly how this season plays out for all four of those teams, beginning on the east coast.
