The Dallas Cowboys are fortunate to have CeeDee Lamb in their wide receiver room but in order to elevate his game, they need to add a weapon who can open things up for him. Nick Brinkerhoff of USA Today had a suggestion that would definitely pique Cowboys fans' interests, linking Stefon Diggs to Dallas.
"The Cowboys are still on the hunt for a receiver that can take some attention away from Lamb and the well is running dry. Diggs might be coming off an ACL tear, but going from Houston to Dallas makes plenty of sense, especially with his brother, Trevon Diggs, already on the Cowboys."
Brinkerhoff made good points here, bringing up Trevon Diggs and the fact that Stefon Diggs spent the 2024 season in Houston. He wouldn't have to move out of the state of Texas if he decided to join the Cowboys for the 2025 season.
Stefon Diggs to the Cowboys makes perfect sense
Diggs, a fifth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2015 draft, played in Minnesota for the first five years of his career before landing with the Bills for the next four years. Diggs played in some big games during his Bills tenure but his theatrics eventually got him traded to Houston where he was having a decent year before suffering an ACL injury midway through the 2024 season.

As of this writing, the Cowboys' starters at wide receiver would be Lamb, Jonathan Mingo, and Jalen Tolbert so, yes, Diggs would be a huge addition to their offense. Dallas might be able to get Diggs on an affordable contract too considering he's 31 and coming off an ACL injury. It really does feel like this signing makes too much sense not to happen.
That being said, Brinkerhoff also listed the Chargers and Patriots as teams that make sense for Diggs as well so the Cowboys aren't the only one being discussed as an option for him. Let's hope Jerry Jones can make this happen and give Dak Prescott a solid weapon for the 2025 season.
