For any Dallas Cowboys fans who have been tuned in this offseason on various quarterback rankings, then you've probably experienced the Dak Prescott disrespect on multiple occasions.
Earlier this offseason, Prescott was disrespected in PFF's QB rankings when he was placed at 17th, behind quarterbacks who have never won a playoff game. The likes of Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray and Geno Smith were all ranked above Prescott.
Now, it seems Prescott is finally getting some love from one ranking courtesy of Fox Sports, which placed the two-time Pro Bowler at No. 10 in its QB rankings.
"Prescott has a lot to prove coming into the 2024 season after a torn hamstring cut his 2024 campaign short. But the numbers he posted in 2023 were enough to show the caliber of quarterback he is. During that season, he completed 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns. Prescott will also benefit from one of the strongest groups of surrounding talent he's had in his career as the Cowboys traded for wide receiver George Pickens to go alongside Ceedee Lamb."
Fox Sports ranks Cowboys' Dak Prescott as No. 10 QB in the NFL
Many Cowboys fans would argue that Prescott is a top 10 quarterback. While that is nothing to sneeze at, we can't help but feel that Prescott should have ranked higher. After all, he checked in behind Jayden Daniels (No. 9), Justin Herbert (No. 8), Baker Mayfield (No. 7) and Jared Goff (No. 6).
Daniels had a historic rookie year, but is he definitively better than Prescott already? Herbert is a cyborg but has zero playoff wins in five seasons. No QB has thrown more interceptions than Mayfield's 26 the last two seasons. Goff has the stats and the playoff success to rank higher, but he's had the benefit of Sean McVay and Ben Johnson calling his plays.

The elephant in the room now is how Prescott is going to bounce back after a season-ending hamstring injury.
Prescott's 2021 season was one of his best, throwing for 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. This was his comeback season from a gruesome ankle injury. If history repeats itself, he's got a great shot of being in the MVP conversation with the best weapons of his career.
Nobody's saying that DAk is on the same level of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, who beat him out in the 2023 MVP vote, but he's worth of being higher than Lawrence, Murray, Smith and other names inside the top 10.
