The Dallas Cowboys have traded Micah Parsons. It still doesn't feel real, but it will surely register when the Cowboys' pass rush takes a monumental step back this season.
Trading Parsons is the worst trade in franchise history, and Parsons might not have even touched down in Wisconsin yet. It never should have reached this point, but Jerry Jones simply couldn't stomach involving Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, in the negotiation process.
Suffice it to say this is going to be a difficult transition for Cowboys fans. That process started in earnestThursday night when Parsons responded to the Packers' X account welcoming him to Green Bay.
Micah Parsons acknowledging the Packers on social media is sickening for Cowboys

That is repulsive stuff, and it isn't a case of Parsons dissing the Cowboys. Don't interpret this as confirmation that Parsons wanted out of Dallas.
Per Jane Slater of NFL Network, Parsons tried to reconcile with Jerry Jones after the trade rumors got leaked. Jones reportedly told him some variation of get ready to play the Eagles on his existing conference. Parsons not only retweeted Slater’s report, but Jones confirmed it during the team's emergency press conference.
"Correct. That was correct," Jones revealed.
While Parsons is certainly partly to blame, Jones could have swallowed his pride and made peace with his now-former star pass rusher. According to Slater, Parsons returned to the team with ‘empathy’ about signing an extension. This didn’t have to end in a trade.
Now, Parsons joins a team that handed the Cowboys their worst home playoff loss in franchise history and countless other heartbreaks this century. It is now fair to lump the Packers into the conversation of the biggest favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Cowboys will be lucky to be in the playoff conversation.
All for two late first-round picks and a veteran defensive tackle. That is no shot at Kenny Clark, but it's Micah Parsons we're talking about. He should have commanded a bigger haul.
This season is going to be miserable, isn't it?
