Micah Parsons just threw the ball into Jerry Jones' court with one clear message

It sure sounds like Jerry has been set up to respond.

It has now been over six months since the Dallas Cowboys dealt Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. In a way, it still feels like it could've been yesterday.

But, so much has happened and so much has been said since that day ... therefore, it also feels like a lifetime ago. Just about every opportunity a single reporter has had to chat with Parsons, over the last several months, the low-hanging fruit has been snatched.

Parsons knows he's going to get asked about the trade, and it's not going away, understandably so. When he appeared at the Pro Bowl Games, over the last couple of days, Parsons was once again asked about the entire ordeal. Only this time, he was asked, "Is it over?"

"I'm a forgiving person. I don't know about Jerry but I have no bad blood. If I saw Jerry today, I would shake hands with him still and say thank you for the opportunity I had to be a Cowboy."

Micah Parsons sounds like he wants to bury the hatchet with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys

Look, there was a lot of damage done from Jerry's end over the last year or so. From the fact that he didn't even speak with Parsons throughout most of the spring and the entire summer leading up to the trade, to his subtly calling Parsons out for his so-called inability to stop the run, there has been a lot of negativity aimed at the All Pro and coming from Jones' side.

If you tried to think about some sort of perfect metaphor for this entire saga, quite frankly, this was an ugly divorce. The aftermath of said divorce has now culminated to a point where one side is attempting to move forward and live in peace.

Parsons sounds like he wants to do that.

But, we haven't heard anything about whether or not Jerry has reached out to Parsons in any fashion.

The ball is undoubtedly in Jerry's court, now. Is he going to comment? Surely, someone is going to ask him about it the next chance they get. Rest assured, the next opportunity Jerry gives somebody to ask him anything, on the record, he will be asked if he is ready to move on.

Considering he hasn't spoken to Parsons in so long, right about now feels like the ideal time for Jerry to come out and address it, once and for all.

Even Cowboys fans still want to know the truth behind the vow of silence on Jerry's end. Yes, it's over, but we all still have questions.

The lingering query still remains: when, if ever, will Jerry Jones take the time to offer closure?
