Things between Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys keep getting weirder. The relationship between the veteran cornerback and organization has become untenably toxic, punctuated by a suspect injured reserve (IR) placement.

Diggs quickly went from suffering a concussion in a mysterious home accident to missing at least the next four games. Reported "residual problems" with his well-chronicled nagging right knee came into play. From the outside, this has been an ugly and messy situation, making it hard to properly grasp what's going on behind the scenes.

Well, Green Bay Packers superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons may have an idea of what's happening in Dallas, and he weighed in on the matter. As one of Diggs' closest friends who clashed with this same Cowboys front office a couple of months ago, his candidly displeased comments feel noteworthy.

Ex-Cowboys star Micah Parsons calls out Dallas after shocking Trevon Diggs IR move

"Honestly, I feel like they [expletive] my dog [Diggs] over, you know what I mean?" Parsons said following Green Bay's Week 8 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers (h/t Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein). "He's coming off a catastrophic knee injury and I just didn't think they did right by him. He didn't participate all camp and he's going out there playing Week 1 and 2. I just don't think you do that to a player like that."

Parsons clearly isn't happy with how his ex-Cowboys teammate is being treated. He saw firsthand what Diggs has been dealing with physically and how it's derailed the former All-Pro corner's career.

Knowing the uphill battle Diggs is facing to return to his once-dominant form and how Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones operates, Parsons unsenses heightened drama. There's more than meets the eye amid the uncertainty in Dallas, and the Packers' sack artist is trying to shed light on it.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that Diggs' days with the Cowboys are ostensibly numbered. He and the Cowboys continue to not see eye-to-eye on several things beyond his health (or lack thereof). Parsons rubbing salt in the wound, presumably to Jones' dismay following their documented breakup, effectively marks the straw that broke the camel's back.

There's no timetable for Diggs' return to action and a "minor" knee surgery is reportedly on the table; this story hardly seems over.
