Better late than never, we suppose.

Dallas Cowboys fans couldn't help but blast linebacker Kenneth Murray after one of the worst performances of any Cowboy this season in their loss against the Lions. Murray couldn't cover in coverage nor stop the run, which directly correlated to his poor 31.9 grade according to Pro Football Focus.

Murray went viral after he got his ankles broken by Jahmyr Gibbs in the open field and took the wrong lane on a David Montgomery run that led to a touchdown. There were several reasons why Dallas lost the game, including some costly turnovers, but Murray's outing was the last straw for a lot of fans.

That last straw led the media to question Logan Wilson's snaps, or lack thereof. Jerry Jones answered that question on his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan. When asked about the social media scrutiny Murray's received, Jones implied that Wilson will play more.

It sounds like the Cowboys have finally come to their senses on Kenneth Murray

"Well, we brought in Logan, and I'm sure you'll see more of Logan than you might've seen the other day...The main thing is that we do have some alternatives there. "
Jerry Jones

The question was about Murray. Notice how Jones didn't mention much of him, and immediately mentioned Wilson as someone who could see the field more. The maddening part is that Wilson's been available for weeks, but for some reason, Matt Eberflus has elected to keep playing Murray more than he should.

Wilson got the most snaps at linebacker against the Raiders, signaling that Eberflus was finally going to use Wilson like they initially intended. However, Murray out-snapped Wilson in the Lions game against some excellent playmakers.

DeMarvion Overshown needs to be paired up with Wilson more to get the most out of the LB room.

It didn't seem like it because the Cowboys won, but Murray was even worse against the Chiefs, posting a lowly 29.0 grade from PFF. His run defense is one of the reasons why Wilson was brought in, and he has a history as a consistent tackler. He was the Bengals' leading tackler for multiple seasons.

The formula is simple here, Jerry. You brought in Wilson for an obvious reason. The linebacker room is too think to permanently bench Murray, but Wilson absolutely deserves more snaps in the final four games, starting this Sunday against the Vikings.
