Organized team activities are up and running for the Dallas Cowboys. New head coach Brian Schottenheimer stole the show with his Tuesday press conference, but Dak Prescott's health was perhaps the biggest storyline of the second practice.
While OTAs pale in comparison to training camp as far as intensity and even tackling, Prescott would not have been able to conceal the status of his hamstring.
Even though Tuesday was a light practice, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram noted that Prescott looked more nimble and took more reps than what was expected. Per Harris, Prescott even impressed with his legs.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott looks healthy coming off hamstring surgery
Dak Prescott flashed his legs a couple of times in today’s session and honestly took more reps than I expected him to.

Looks to be moving well and throwing well. Had a fine day out on the grass. https://t.co/i9LeJJ5auU
Jon Machota of The Athletic added that Prescott was a full participant on Tuesday. It seem like Prescott shocked everyone with his workload. That is a pleasant surprise if there ever was one.
It goes without saying that the team's success hinges on Prescott's health. Though Cooper Rush was able to keep the ship afloat last season, there is no comparing the players as far as talent and ability to help an offense put points on the scoreboard.
"People say a lot of things about me," Prescott said after practice, via Machota. "I just show up and control what I can control. Healthy, trying to stay healthy. Feels good. Just trying to push the energy and make sure I continue to get better."

Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9. An MRI confirmed that part of the 32-year-old's tendon ripped off the bone. While Prescott was confident that he'd be a full go for OTAs, fans understandably expected Dallas to ease QB1 back into the swing of things.
That Prescott is already a full participant and flashing with his legs all but confirms he's fully recovered from the injury.
That is a huge deal.
Not only is Prescott the most important player on the roster, but this will allow him to build chemistry with new wide receiver George Pickens. It also gives first-round pick Tyler Booker an early start as far as understanding Prescott's cadence under center.
There is a long way to go before training camp, but Cowboys fans could not have asked for a better start to OTAs.
