Heading into the Divisional Round of these NFL Playoffs, the Washington Commanders held the longest current NFC Championship drought, as they hadn't appeared in the conference title game since the 1991 campaign.

But with Dan Quinn & Co. going into Ford Field and knocking off the top-seeded Detroit Lions, the new owners of this unwanted streak are now the Dallas Cowboys, who last appeared in the NFC title game following the 1995 regular season.

The Cowboys took care of business that day with a 38-27 win over Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers and then went on to win their third Super Bowl in four years with a 27-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

For the 29th consecutive season, America's Team will watch the NFC Championship Game from home with the rest of us.

And this year's matchup is particularly painful as it features two of the franchise's biggest rivals, with the Commanders taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in an all-NFC East finale. The AFC side of the bracket will see the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs battling the Buffalo Bills.

Quinn, who spent the last three seasons as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator, leading the charge for Washington certainly doesn't make things any easier, nor does the fact that several former Dallas players have made an impact during the Commanders' run.

So, exactly how many former Cowboys will be suiting up for conference championship Sunday? Let's have a look.

Every former Cowboys player set to suit up in the NFC and AFC title games

It shouldn't come as a surprise that of the four remaining teams vying for a shot at Super Bowl LIX, the Commanders will have the most former Cowboys on the field this Sunday with four, those being Tyler Biadasz, Dante Fowler Jr., Dorance Armstrong, and Noah Igbinoghene.

That number would be five, but wide receiver Noah Brown, who was the recipient of Jayden Daniels' wild Hail Mary game-winner back in Week 8, remains on injured reserve with kidney issues.

The Eagles actually don't have a single former Dallas player on the roster, but the Cowboys are still represented on that side of the field, as former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore currently holds the same role for Philly. Moore, of course, was interviewed by the Cowboys as a possible replacement for Mike McCarthy.

On the AFC side of things, the Bills have three former Cowboys on the roster, a list that features Amari Cooper, Connor McGovern, and Jordan Phillips.

The Chiefs have one former Dallas player in tight end Peyton Hendershot, who spent much of the year on the practice squad but did get some snaps in the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, mostly on special teams.
