With their disappointing 2024 campaign now a thing of the past, the Dallas Cowboys will look ahead to the 2025 NFL offseason, one which will see more than 20 members of America's Team become unrestricted free agents, a list that includes several high-profile players.
Arguably the biggest name on this list is future Hall of Famer Zack Martin, although it's fair to wonder if the nine-time Pro Bowl guard will opt for retirement after undergoing season-ending ankle surgery in early December.
Joining Martin on the list is his 2014 draftmate DeMarcus Lawrence, who suffered a season-ending injury of his own in Week 4, his being of the Linsfranc variety.
Beyond these two veterans, several key contributors to this Cowboys team on both sides of the football are set to hit the open market.
In addition to Lawrence, the list of defensive players includes linebacker Eric Kendricks, cornerback Jourdan Lewis, tackle Osa Odighizuwa, and edge rushers Chauncey Golston and Carl Lawson.
On offense, the biggest name might now be Rico Dowdle, who had a phenomenal finish to the season to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career, which Jerry Jones and the rest of the Cowboys' front office will certainly have to take into account when figuring out what to do at running back this offseason.
Joining Dowdle on the offensive portion of the list are wide receiver Brandin Cooks and quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Trey Lance.
Wideout and kick return specialist KeVontae Turpin is also on the list but is a restricted free agent, so he can be tendered at $5.2 million and retained if the Cowboys choose to do so. But that's one of just many decisions Jones will have to make once free agency officially begins on March 12.
