It's no surprise that the Dallas Cowboys haven't done much roster shuffling through two weeks of training camp. They made some last-ditch signings in June, suggesting they were content with their 90-man allotment for the summer.
Of course, the ebbs and flows of camp can change that. We've already seen the Cowboys waive/injured defensive end Charles Snowden and sign offensive lineman Sebastian Guitierrez as his replacement.
The roster tweaking resumed during Dallas' off day on Friday, as the team signed UFL running back Jashaun Corbin and waived undrafted rookie Dominic Richardson.

A lot of Cowboys fans were thrilled when the team signed Richardson immediately following the 2026 NFL Draft. He broke out at Tulsa as a fifth-year senior in 2025, totaling 1,065 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
However, he hadn't made much noise in camp, while fellow roster bubble backs Malik Davis and Israel Abanikanda have maximized their opportunities. Richardson was always considered a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but many had circled him as a potential practice squad stash.
Perhaps it is Corbin who's destined for that role.
Corbin began his college career at Texas A&M before transferring to Florida State, where he rushed for 887 yards and seven touchdowns in his final season in 2021. It wasn't enough to hear his name called in the 2022 NFL Draft, but the New York Giants quickly signed him as a priority undrafted free agent. He appeared in six games for New York in 2023, catching six passes and logging one carry.

Still just 25 years old, Corbin was with the Atlanta Falcons for most of last summer before he was let go during roster cuts and later returned to the UFL, where he has played the last two seasons. And quite well, I might add.
This past season with the Orland Storm, Corbin compiled 463 rushing yards and three scores, adding 118 yards and an additional TD as a pass-catcher. The previous season, Corbin won the rushing crown as the San Antonio Brahmas' primary back, totaling 514 yards on 5.2 yards per attempt.
Of course, it's no guarantee that translates to the NFL. However, the Cowboys arguably have had more success than any team at scouting talent from the UFL. KaVontae Turpin and Brandon Aubrey are two of the most formidable special-teams weapons in the league. Both hail from the UFL.
Maybe Corbin will be their next success story, but he's got his work cut out to ascend the RB depth chart. Abanikanda and Davis have struggled for reps with the starting offense despite stacking positive practices with the second team, painting a bleak picture for Corbin's roster odds.
