Cowboys’ Jerry Jones tried to clarify his NSFW gesture and somehow made it worse

It's always something with Jerry Jones...

The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2-1 on the season, but that has not come without a ton of drama from Jerry Jones, as expected. The Cowboys took it to the New York Jets in Week 5 in an expected result. Dallas moved to 2-2-1 on the season, and honestly, things have gone quite well thus far.

The defense is expectedly bad, but Dak Prescott has this offense humming, and free agency signing Javonte Williams looks very good and is still just 25 years old. Overall, there are many teams across the league in much worse shape than Dallas right now, but as it typically always is, drama is around this team.

And to the surprise of absolutely no one, Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones is caught in the latest bout of it, and instead of admitting he was wrong and should not have done something, he doubles down a bit and only creates more drama in the process.

Jerry Jones clearly gave someone a NSFW gesture, but he won't admit it

The video begins with Jerry Jones clearly giving the thumbs up gesture, but right after that, he looks down into the crowd, gives someone the middle finger, and then points directly at the person.

Jones is obviously denying this, but it's on video. He claims that he was trying to give a thumbs up, but that was the first gesture he did. Whether you are a Jerry Jones fan or not, it's clear that he made a wrong move here and threw up a NSFW gesture at a (likely) opposing fan during a game.

Dallas had a whopping 30-6 lead entering the fourth quarter, and this game was honestly over before that. The New York Jets put up some garbage-time points and made the game a little bit closer than what it actually was.

Dak Prescott tossed four touchdowns in the game, and Javonte Williams added 135 yards and one touchdown on the ground. The Cowboys appear to be building something sustainable on offense, as Williams, CeeDee Lamb, and even George Pickens are on the younger side.

However, if Jerry Jones can't stay out of the news for something as ridiculous as this, it's going to take away from the awesome on-field product this offense delivers most weeks.
