Following the news of Brian Schottenheimer taking over as head coach of the Dalals Cowboys, fans, media members, and even Michael Irvin didn't have much of positive reaction.
While Jerry Jones has been at the forefront of anything and everything Cowboys since 1989, there was one report that linked Stephen Jones as the man behind the Schottenheimer hire. Either way, fans had a much more negative reaction about the hire. With a chance to potentially make up for playoff woes and heartbreak, Jerry decided to stick to within the organization for a man with zero NFL head coaching experience.
Of course, we'll just have to wait and see if this was the right move or not, but in the words of 'Good Morning Football' co-host Kyle Brandt, he sees the 2025 Dallas Cowboys as having him feeling numb.
NFL Network analyst says 2025 Cowboys have him feeling 'nothing'
Stephen A. Smith has said plenty of worst things about the Cowboys and their fans, but for Brandt, he kept it simple and even compared some darker days as being more exciting than right now.
I was asked my feelings on the 2025 Cowboys.

"Even the Dave Campo era had more sizzle than this team does," Brandt said. "Even smaller market teams right now are headlights and neon compared to America's Team."
This isn't a stunning realization for fans, as they've known this since the hiring of Schottenheimer. Brandt goes into how Dak Prescott will be very good, but 'not great,' and how the cycle will just continue next season. Brandt goes into saying how the biggest story that happened to the Cowboys in the past year had nothing to do with football.
"The most interesting thing that's happened in the last calendar year for the Dallas Cowboys, and I don't even think it's close is the owner's breathtaking cameo in a television show called 'Landman,' which was beautiful, amazing and really sad that that was the most dynamic thing we've seen," Brandt said. "They are currently like the tupperware of teams."
For anyone to feel this way about America's Team really shows the difference of the franchise over the past three decades. Even Irvin, one of the biggest defenders of the franchise couldn't hold in his thoughts when discussing Jerry and Schottenheimer.
Once September hits, that numbness will eventually be replaced by surprise or disappointment, but even some Dallas fans have already began to realize that the ship has already sunk.
