Cowboys fans can’t escape Tom Brady as NFL assigns him more Dallas games

Brutal best describes the Dallas Cowboys' 2025 schedule, as six of their final seven games are against teams that made the playoffs last season. While the middle of the schedule is on the softer side, that will mean nothing if Dallas collapses down the stretch.

Still the biggest draw in the NFL, the Cowboys will have the second-most primetime games of any team this season. That does not include their nationally-televised holiday affairs on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Even when Dallas isn't in primetime, the league always makes sure to put them in a juicy slate. Chances are you remember the team having the late afternoon slate on FOX as America's Game of the Week, called by Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play) and Tom Brady (color analyst).

Cowboys fans grew sick of the duo by season's end and that figures to be the case again in 2025 after FOX announced it's own schedule.

Cowboys fans will see plenty of Tom Brady again in 2025

The Cowboys will play on FOX a total of eight times this season. That trails only the Eagles for the most of any team. The kicker, though, is that Dallas will feature on America's Game of the Week a whopping four times. That, predictably, tops Philly and the entire league.

  • Cowboys at Bears (Week 3)
  • Commanders at Cowboys (Week 7)
  • Eagles at Cowboys (Week 12)
  • Cowboys at Giants (Week 18)

If it's any silver lining, at least the Brady broadcasts are staggered. Last year, Burkhardt and Brady called three straight games for Dallas to start the season (Weeks 1-3). They essentially became the unofficial broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys.

While Dallas is only confirmed for four America's Game of the Week, that does not rule out Brady and Burkhardt from calling any of their other games that will be on FOX.

The Cowboys' Week 2 game against the Saints last year had a 12 p.m. CT start time. Burkardt and Brady were on the call despite the early start.

The league obviously knows that Dallas is a ratings magnet. Why else would they have more primetime games than the defending champion Eagles?

Brady, meanwhile, is such a household name that he alone will get people in their seats even though he's not throwing spirals anymore. It is easy to understand why commissioner Roger Goodell continues to force this marriage, but Cowboys fans are not wrong to want more balance.
