Every year there are number of prospects Dallas Cowboys fans fall head over heels for during the NFL Draft process. This year is no different, as Cowboys Nation has compiled a laundry list of players they want to see don a star on their helmet for the foreseeable future.

As far as the No. 12 overall pick is concerned, the prohibitive favorites are wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona and Matthew Golden out of Texas. Whereas McMillan is fans' top choice at No. 12, that slot seems a bit rich for Golden despite his soaring stock.

It's no secret Cowboys fans are enamored with Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter, but they're widely expected to be top-three picks. Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty and Armand Membou would also be home-run choices, but they are not expected to fall to Dallas.

Assuming a WR is the pick in round one, the No. 44 pick becomes very interesting. That is considered the sweet spot for Dallas to select a running back. Unfortunately, one of fans' favorite prospects might not be available following a recent update.

Broncos could shatter Cowboys' dream of drafting TreVeyon Henderson

According to Broncos reporter Mike Klis of 9NEWS, Denver met with Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson on Wednesday. The timing is alone is noteworthy, but Klis notes that multiple draft analysts believe Henderson is a seamless fit in Sean Payton's offense given his versatility as a runner and receiver.

Henderson was a 30 visit with the Cowboys, who were well-represented at Ohio State's Pro Day. As we inch closer to April 24, though, it seems increasingly likely that the former Buckeye will come off the board in the first round, potentially as high as No. 20 to the Broncos.

If you don't buy the RB smoke surrounding Denver, The Athletic's Dane Brugler projected Omarion Hampton to the Broncos at No. 20 overall in his seven-round mock draft. While Hampton is the consensus RB2 in this class, Henderson is so dynamic that it wouldn't surprise if he was drafted before Hampton.

Dallas picks before the Broncos in the second round, but it might not come down to that if Payton sees Henderson as the perfect back to elevate his offense.

Among RBs, Henderson has the third-highest odds behind Ashton Jeanty and Hampton, respectively, to be taken in the first round. Whether it's the Broncos, Steelers, Chargers or Chiefs, Henderson has a number of potential suitors. Even if he slides to round two, the sheer interest he's garnered makes it hard to imagine he'd fall to Dallas.

While missing out on Henderson wouldn't be a disaster for the Cowboys, many analysts have circled him as the ideal target at No. 44. There are myriad other RBs who could make an instant impact, but Henderson has been all the rage in North Texas since the start of the college season, which would make it a tough pill to swallow.
