As a fan, there is something so satisfying when a hidden gem on your favorite team introduces themselves to the country. While that player is adored by the fan base, it is somehow vindicating when said player has THAT moment. It could be one play or a complete game.

The Dallas Cowboys had two different players on Thanksgiving enjoy coming out parties: linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and running back Rico Dowdle.

Cowboys Nation has sung Overshown and Dowdle's praises all season, but Thursday the entire country got a taste of what they can do.

In Overshown's case, he made one of the single-most impressive plays you will ever see on a football field. The second-year pro tipped a Drew Lock pass and managed to scurry underneath it and return it for a touchdown - the Cowboys' first of the game.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown predictedThanksgiving pick-six vs. the Giants

That is one of the best defensive plays of the season in the NFL. Period.

Overshown actually predicted the play as it happened. Once Giants running back Tyrone Tracy abandoned his block, it was over.

"When the running back let me loose, I was like there's some BS going on," Overshown said, via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "And then the quarterback threw the ball and I was like, 'This is my play to make.' I was able to kick in some Nitrous and we were dancing in the end zone."

That Overshown sniffed out the screen in real time and proceeded to make the play is some big-time stuff from the 2023 third-round pick.

While an incredible display of athleticism, the tipped pass and interception distracted from Overshown lighting up Tracy. Shot out of a cannon, Overshown stood Tracy up and hardly lost a shred of momentum in his pursuit of the Giants quarterback.

You know a play is special when the color analyst on duty can't help but jump the play-by-play broadcaster. Tom Brady tried to keep his emotions in check. He was simply that wowed. Brady and Kevin Burkhardt's raw reactions perfectly encapsulated the play's absurdity.

It shouldn't get lost, either, that Overshown's heroics were crucial to the win. The Cowboys offense had just kicked a field goal after another long drive stalled out. Juanyeh Thomas had just been carted off after a non-contact knee injury.

The team needed a a spark - and points - in the worst way. Special players come through in those moments.

Overshown did and in the process showed the world that he is the superstar in the making that Cowboys fans already knew him to be.
