The Dallas Cowboys are everyone's punching bag right now. Their losing streak extended to five games following their 34-10 defeat against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.
That the Texans played a sloppy game and still won by 24 points is a testament to where the Cowboys are as an organization. Yes, they are still missing several key pieces due to injury, including their franchise quarterback, but they are simply one of the worst teams in the NFL.
As if getting beat on the gridiron isn't enough, the Cowboys took another L off the field before kickoff when a piece of the AT&T Stadium roof fell onto the field. The team planned to open the roof for the game, but wisely decided to close it after the malfunction.
The Texans' social team saw it as an opportunity to troll Dallas after the game. They cropped the chunk of metal that fell into the shape of an "L" with the caption "Look out beLow".
Teams are getting their jollies by beating the Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb gave a sobering assessment of the state of the team after the loss.
CeeDee Lamb has sobering postgame quote after Cowboys' Week 11 loss
"Obviously, everybody is looking to embarrass us, right?," Lamb said. "They have their opportunity when they try to put us out, and we had so much success over the last three years as far as in the regular season with three consecutive 12-win seasons, it's starting to bite us. So for us, we got to find ways to gel together, play together and finish this thing out."
While a massive truth bomb, it's refreshing that Lamb got this forthright about the Cowboys' struggles.
It would be pretty obnoxious if one of the faces of the franchise got behind the mic and pointed out positives from the loss and gave a typical political answer about taking things one day at a time. Those types of responses often fall on deaf ears, but Lamb was brutally honest.

Teams have not bypassed the opportunity to embarrass Dallas this season.
The Texans' social media joke is one thing, but the Lions pulled out several trick plays in Week 6 when the game was already out of reach. In addition, the Saints ran up the score at AT&T Stadium en route to a 44-19 victory. You might remember Derek Carr pulling out a Michael Jackson touchdown celebration. Carr was fined $14,000 for the inappropriate dance move. That he felt comfortable enough to even pull it off was embarrassing.
It was just last year - and the year before that and the year before that - that the Cowboys were the ones embarrassing opponents. The shoe is on the other foot now and there are still seven games left on the docket for teams like the Eagles, Commanders, Bengals and Buccaneers to join the humiliation parade.
