On a weekly basis, Dallas Cowboys fans can't help but be stunned in awe, watching kicker Brandon Aubrey. We've seen teams sink due to shaky kicking situations. But for the Cowboys, Aubrey is a stone-cold, sure thing as a kicker. It could be over a 60-yard field goal attempt and Cowboys fans won't even after to sweat, because they know he can drill the football right down the middle of the uprights.

Just when you thought you couldn't be more amazed by Aubrey, he did something that really dropped jaws.

On Dallas' opening drive against the Minnesota Vikings, head coach Brian Schottenheimer called for Aubrey to attempt a 47-yard field goal. Instead, punter Bryan Anger flipped the ball to Aubrey, who made a mad dash for a gain of six yards. That was enough for the Cowboys to earn the first down.

To make matters that much better, Aubrey's trick run helped the Cowboys take a 7-0 lead later on after a goal line rushing touchdown by Javonte Williams. With that run, Aubrey officially did something Cowboys fans haven't seen in quite some time.

The Cowboys' official public relations X account said that Aubrey's six-yard run was the first time that the team had a fake field goal attempt, back on Dec. 23, 2001 when the team took on the Arizona Cardinals. Punter Micah Knorr attempted a pass on fourth down instead of the team going for the field goal, and it fell incomplete.

This isn't the only history that Aubrey made with this trick play. By rushing for six yards and the first down, Aubrey officially has the most rushing yards by a kicker in a season since 2016, where Brandon McManus of the Denver Broncos ran for a six-yard gain on one total carry.

Just in case you couldn't be more amazed by what Aubrey brings to the Cowboys on a weekly basis, you now know he can pull off a trick play with relative ease. Now, let's see if he can break off a longer run in the future!
