AJ Brown's postgame stunt is perfect fuel for Cowboys fans after Eagles' collapse

It's perfect.

What an awesome weekend of football for the Dallas Cowboys. Not only did the Packers' historic collapse present them with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but the Eagles lost at home to a 49ers team that was forced to start fourth and fifth-stringers on both sides of the ball.

While Green Bay's loss was worse, given they squandered a 21-3 lead, the Eagles arguably had the easiest draw of any team on Wild Card Weekend, considering San Francisco's injury list.

Of course, it wouldn't be an Eagles loss without some A.J. Brown drama. Ever the diva wide receiver, Brown had a dreadful game, catching just three of seven targets for 25 yards. It culminated in Nick Sirianni sprinting down the sideline and barking in Brown's face after the WR almost didn't get off the field in time.

Brown seemed to check out mentally after that altercation, and that carried over into the postgame media scrum. A variety of Eagles reporters noted that Brown declined to speak with the media. He hugged his teammates after the game, but then left the stadium.

A.J. Brown ghosting the media makes Eagles' loss taste even sweeter for Cowboys fans

What makes this Eagles team such an enjoyable hate-watch is that they don't just lose. There are always strings attached, and more often than not, there is a stick of dynamite glued to said strings.

On a personal level, it's easy to understand why Brown wanted to be left alone after one of the worst games of his professional career (he finished with three drops, including one on third down on the Eagles' final drive). That said, being available to the media is part of the job description. For a player who has a "C" on their jersey, not showing up sends a really bad message.

There was going to be speculation about Brown's future in Philadelphia regardless of how or when the Eagles' season ended. The three-time Pro Bowler practically rolled out the red carpet for that discourse by ghosting the media after an ugly sideline altercation with Sirianni.

It would not come as a shock if Brown were suiting up for another team in 2026. That would be fantastic news for the Cowboys.

While the 28-year-old is a headcase, he's one of the 10 best receivers in the world when he's locked in. Whether it boiled down to frustration with Jalen Hurts or his role in Kevin Patullo's offense, Brown never seemed fully bought in this season.

It's no surprise it all came to a head on Sunday.
