There are many needs for the Dallas Cowboys on offense heading into the draft. It’s officially April, which means that it’s draft season and the Cowboys need to do whatever they can to bring in some support for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

You can easily make the case that the Cowboys must go with a running back with either Ashton Jeanty or Omarion Hampton, but we also have to recognize that this running back class is so strong so the Cowboys can maybe wait until the second day to get their running game.

Right now, the Cowboys are set to pick at No. 12 overall in the first round and one of their biggest needs is getting another wideout to pair with Lamb. The top receiver in this draft class is Arizona wideout Tetairoa McMillan who should be the consensus first wide receiver taken off the board.

With the Cowboys have the 12th overall pick, it’s not entirely impossible for Dallas to get him but it’s highly unlikely just because there are other WR-needy teams ahead of them. If McMillan doesn’t fall into Dallas’ lap, there are four other receivers that the Cowboys could choose to add to their offense.

4 WRs for Dallas to choose if they lost out on Tetairoa McMillan at No. 12

Luther Burden III, Missouri

Quite frankly, this might be the best choice for the Cowboys to pick at No. 12 if McMillan isn’t available. Luther Burdern III would be a dynamic number-two wideout in Dallas’ offense. Not only can he catch passes, but he can take handoffs and turn on the jets at any moment. Even though he only had one season having 1,000+ receiving yards at Missouri, his athleticism and open-field speed is what makes his dynamic.

Having a duo like Lamb and Burden in 2025 in Dallas would be a great sight-seeing experience for Cowboys fans.

Matthew Golden, Texas

Why not keep a Texas player in the state of Texas? Wide receiver Matthew Golden had a phenomenal combine and has been climbing draft boards since the combine kicked off. He can make defenders miss, with or without the ball in his hands and would be a speedy option for the Cowboys’ offense.

He broke out in 2024 for the Longhorns and came up just 13 yards shy of 1,000 yards. Golden can open up the field outside the numbers which would mike life easier for Dak Prescott.

Jayden Higgins, Iowa State

If you are not familiar with Iowa State’s Jayden Higgins, you should. If he lands in the right situation, Higgins could become an impactful player right away. Coming into Dallas, Higgins would be a great WR2 who has big size and can win contested catches.

Lamb is your explosive route runner who can create separation, now it’s time to add someone who can battle defenders when the ball is up in the air. Higgins improved his production every year in college, and had his first 1,000+ receiving yard season last year.

Tre Harris, Ole Miss

After transferring from Louisana Tech to Ole Miss, Tre Harris a little bit of similarity in his game as CeeDee Lamb. He’s great after the catch and has the ability to break press coverage. He had over 2,000 total receiving yards with the Rebels, as well as 15 touchdowns. Picking Harris at No. 12 overall might be a little bit of a reach, but with how Dallas runs their offense, Harris is an excellent fit.
