3 remaining free agents Cowboys could sign for cheap and start immediately

Now that the opening week of free agency is in the books, the Dallas Cowboys made out pretty well for themselves. They were able to sign Jalen Thompson and Cobie Durant to bolster the secondary and acquired Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers to fix the pass rush. It was a pretty solid start.

However, the job is far from over. There is still plenty of talent available in free agency, and now that the desperation spending sprees are over, Jerry Jones has a chance to bring in some instant starters for cheap. After all, is what he did with Jadeveon Clowney after Micah Parsons was traded.

It stands to reason that Dallas' offseason MO is still in line with their defensive renovation under new coordinator Christian Parker. They've already made notable upgrades, but if they are willing to spend a bit more, they could add these UFAs at a decently affordable price.

3 remaining free agents the Dallas Cowboys could sign to start right away

L'Jarius Sneed, CB (Titans)

The Titans released L'Jarius Sneed late last week just two seasons after they acquired him from the Kansas City Chiefs and signed him to a $76 million extension. He was limited to just 12 games across two seasons in Tennessee due to injury, but when healthy, Sneed has played at a Pro Bowl level.

The two-time Super Bowl champion could just end up returning to the Chiefs, but if he doesn't, Dallas makes sense as a new landing spot. He has the versatility to thrive in Parker's system, and the 29-year-old could be a solid depth piece alongside Durant, DaRon Bland, and Shavon Revel if he stays healthy.

Bobby Wagner, LB (Commanders)

If the Cowboys are looking for the perfect running mate for DeMarvion Overshown, they could chase experience instead of youth and versatility. Missing out on Nakobe Dean to the Raiders of all teams hurts, but Jones could instead pivot to a player who fans should be aware of at this point.

Even at age 35, the 10-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro is still playing at a high level. He can no longer hold up in coverage, but as far as getting downhill and packing a punch against the run, few do it better than the former Super Bowl champ.

Compared to a younger alternative, Wagner would be the most proven LB option.

Haason Reddick, EDGE (Buccaneers)

Even after trading for Gary, the Cowboys need pass-rushing help that goes beyond the upcoming draft, and Reddick is the perfect fix. Joey Bosa will likely be out of the team's price range, so the two-time Pro Bowler would be the next best option for a team looking for proven production off the edge.

He struggled the last two seasons, but Reddick logged 50.5 sacks between 2020 and 2023. Unfortunately, his time with the Eagles never lapped with Parker's, but if the Bucs are willing to let another established vet walk after losing Mike Evans, the Cowboys could be in play for his talents.
