6. Amari Cooper 2018-2021

This one is kind of cheating but the Cowboys did use their 2019 first-round pick to trade for wide receiver Amari Cooper. He was only with the team for three and a half years but his impact was felt before he arrived and after he departed. Before he arrived Dak Prescott was having his worst year as an NFL quarterback and after Cooper was released the Cowboys struggled at the wide receiver position outside of CeeDee Lamb. Between 2016-2018 Prescott averaged 229 yards per game, and between 2019-2021 all with Cooper, Prescott averaged 303 yards per game. The Cowboys releasing Amari Cooper after the 2021 season is still an odd decision.

5. CeeDee Lamb 2020-present

CeeDee Lamb had plenty of pressure entering the NFL, the perceived best wide receiver in his class and once he was drafted he was given number 88 by owner Jerry Jones. Lamb got off to a rocky start in his rookie year but 2022 was the year Lamb earned the number 88. Lamb ranked top 10 in the NFL in catches, yards, and touchdowns in 2022. Lamb is seeking a long-term payday from the Cowboys and once he does he should jump up this list.

4. Travis Frederick 2013-2019

The Dallas Cowboys drafted Travis Frederick 31st overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, at the time it was looked at as a reach. Over the next four years, Frederick was voted an All-Pro four times as the Cowboys had the number one rushing offense two out of those four years. Frederick was considered the best center in the NFL during that period. Before the 2018 season, Frederick was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He retired from the NFL after the 2019 season.
