Last week’s Dallas Cowboys season finale didn’t really go as anyone expected as they fall to the Washington Commanders.

While the loss didn’t do anything to hurt the Cowboys’ chances of making the playoffs, it did set them up to play a foe that they’ve been unable to beat throughout his entire career, Tom Brady. The Brady conundrum though isn’t the only issue standing in the way of this Dallas team making a run in the playoffs.

They have quite a few issues to clean up. The running game has had issues the last few weeks, turnovers have hurt or put the team in difficult positions, and stopping the running game are a few of the issues hampering the Cowboys as of late.

Will this wild card weekend be the final opportunity for the Cowboys to get things right, or will they survive to fight another day or will Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rain on the Cowboys parade?

We’ll need to wait until Monday to answer this question but in the meantime, I have a few predictions that might give some hope for Cowboys fans, or could just be wishful thinking? Let’s find out in this week’s bold predictions.

4. Old Dog, New Tricks

For the longest time, Dallas Cowboys fans have been looking for changes to the Cowboys’ offense under Kellen Moore. This offseason we thought we would see some of it after comments from Mike McCarthy about helping Moore with play-calling and situational football. To their credit, we did see different formations, trick plays, and use of personnel, but after a while things started to regress a bit, falling back into the old model we’d become accustomed to from Moore and this offense.

I believe that we are going to see a lot more from this Moore and this offense against the Buccaneers. More variations of personnel on the field, play-calling such as a subtle change on runs on first and second downs, too the more creative play-calling involving more motion to confuse defenses. Kellen Moore is once again up for interviews to be a head coach and this is as good a time as any to make a great impression.

Game Prediction: Kellen Moore unleashes new plays on the Buccaneers sparking the Cowboys’ offense against a stingy Buccaneer defense.
