1. Dak Prescott has majority ownership of the Washington franchise

Since joining the Cowboys as a fourth-round back in 2016, Dak Prescott has been a major thorn in the side of the Commanders. He’s made 10 starts in his career against them and so far, has a record of 9-1.

Overall, Prescott has been dominant in the NFC East in general. He’s 10-2 against the New York Giants and 8-3 against the Philadelphia Eagles. That means he has a record of 27-6 in the division, but it’s still Washington that he’s had the most success against.

And they’re not just winning the games when Prescott plays, but they’ve had some lopsided victories. The biggest was the last time Prescott faced the Commanders in 2021, back when they didn’t even have a name.

On Dec. 26 last season, Dallas won 56-14 as Prescott threw for 330 yards with four touchdowns. In all his games against them, he’s thrown for 2,407 yards with 18 touchdowns and just three picks.

With Washington already struggling as of late, this doesn’t feel like the week for them to get back on track. Instead, it’s more likely that Dallas gets the win they need (while hoping the Eagles lose) and heads into the playoffs with a lot of confidence.
