Last week’s bold predictions I put forth for the Dallas Cowboys didn’t really hold up that well. This week, I have a feeling that they are going to bounce back against a tougher Jacksonville Jaguars team that has improved quite a bit since the beginning of the season.

While the rest of the AFC South is in a slump, the Jaguars are looking to make a push to challenge the Titans for the division title, and they see the Cowboys as a major roadblock in their plans.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, are looking to make back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since the 2006-2007 seasons and can do it with a win this week. It’s not going to be easy, but the Cowboys, even with the injuries they sustained last week, should be able to take advantage of some of the injuries the Jaguars are dealing with.

Hopefully, this week’s four bold predictions against the Jaguars come true.

4. Cowboys Sack Party Returns

Last week, the Cowboys weren’t able to pick up any sacks against a bad Texans offensive line, but kudos to the Texans for using a mobile quarterback to counter the Cowboys’ pass rush.

This week, the Cowboys face another mobile quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, but this time around, the Cowboys defenders know what they are up against. Expect to see more containment on Lawrence this week compared to last week — and more sacks as well.

The Jaguars’ offensive line has been better, but they still aren’t good enough to handle the amount of pressure defensive coordinator Dan Quinn can dial up, and dial it up he will this week.

I expect Micah Parsons to get back on track with another multi-sack game, with DeMarcus Lawrence and Sam Williams getting in on the action as well.

Game Prediction: Cowboys amass 5 sacks after getting 0 in Week 14.
