This was supposed to be the easy part of the season, as the Dallas Cowboys took on three teams from the AFC South starting with the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13 and Houston Texans in Week 14. They started out hot with a 54-19 win over Indy, but then needed a late drive to steal a win over Houston 27-23.

Now in Week 15, they head to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. We know nothing is guaranteed — as last week reminded us — but here are four reasons to believe the Cowboys will win against the Jaguars.

4. Jags Have Struggled Against the NFC East

Jacksonville has had a couple of impressive wins over the past three weeks, defeating the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans — with a dud in between, as the Detroit Lions housed them 40-14.

At 5-8 overall, the Jaguars have improved upon their 2021 performance, and also can lay claim to an early-season win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Having said that, they’ve been owned by the NFC East, as Doug Pederson is struggling with his former division.

In Week 1, they lost to the Washington Commanders while Carson Wentz was still starting. They also lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. To their credit, they played them all close, as Washington won 28-22, New York was 23-17, and the Eagles had the biggest win at 29-21.

Still, they’re clearly not ready to compete with arguably the best division in the league, which is one reason Dallas feels like a safe bet this weekend.
