Dallas Cowboys fans have every reason to feel supremely confident about … everything, especially after running over the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth quarter Sunday night, adding another team’s name to the “Playing Scared” whiteboard.

They just need to make sure they don’t project that confidence boisterously enough to perk up Eagles fans’ ears.

At the moment, the Cowboys are 9-3, sitting two games behind Philadelphia in the race for the top spot in the NFC East, as well as the conference as a whole. Philly’s a lot of things right now. They’re the leaders in the clubhouse. They’re the team Dallas would love a second shot at without Cooper Rush involved, a moment that’s arriving on Christmas Eve.

They, technically, don’t “suck” — though don’t tell that to the hordes of Cowboys fans chanting in the direction of the Eagles after their latest SNF win.

Obviously, this is meaningless. But this is also 2022. You’re going to get the “rent free” jabs for the next several weeks. And if the steaming Eagles win that rematch, you’re never going to escape this clip.

Hey, baseball fans: Remember, “We want Houston!”? Because Philly fans sure do.

Dallas Cowboys fans should be careful about giving Eagles “rent free” ammo

Today would be a good day to sign Odell Beckham Jr. and shift the focus.

The Cowboys’ final showdown with the Eagles will come in Dallas on Dec. 24 at 4:25 PM EST. It’ll be raucous. These same people will likely be in the stands, hoping to spill out of Jerry World sporting that same energy.

But if they thought they could escape the wrath of Philly fans, they probably should’ve kept the team’s name out of their mouths until that day arrived.

After all, the Colts really suck. That could’ve been a fun chant, too.
