After an abysmal loss to the Packers in Week 10, the Cowboys bounced back in a big way in Week 11 against the Vikings. Dallas stomped Minnesota in a 40-3 blowout victory for their biggest win of the season.

The win got Dallas in the right direction heading into Thanksgiving and hopefully into the last half of the season as they still trail the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.

The team has skyrocketed in Power Rankings and looks better than many expected them to be after they lost their quarterback in the first game of the season.

Now, it’s all about continuing to win games to make a push in the playoff standings and try to knock down the Eagles from first place in the NFC East.

The biggest game left on the Cowboys’ schedule is the Week 16 rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles

Although the victory against the Vikings could be the team’s biggest win of the season, there’s a bigger, more critical game remaining on the Cowboys’ schedule after Thanksgiving.

It’s the rematch versus the Eagles in Week 16.

It’s a game that Dallas has to win if they want any chance at winning back-to-back division titles, a feat that hasn’t happened in the NFC East since 2004. Despite trailing the Eagles by two full games heading into their divisional clash with the Giants on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys definitely still have a shot at the division crown.

The Eagles have struggled over the past couple of weeks against the Commanders and Colts. Philadelphia suffered their first loss on a Monday night game that Washington controlled from the opening kickoff and almost lost last week to Indianapolis. But a late double-digit comeback saved them from losing two straight.

The last two Eagles games showed they are beatable and with games against the Giants, Titans, and even Packers in the coming weeks, losses could help the Cowboys immensely.

Dallas lost the first go-around against the Eagles earlier this season. Dallas came out slow and didn’t appear to be ready for this big-time game. They trailed 20-0 after the first 28 minutes and couldn’t move the ball. But the team came alive soon after that: scoring 17 unanswered before the Eagles sealed a late-game touchdown.

Cooper Rush filled in for the injured Dak Prescott and had his worst game as a starter. He threw three interceptions and completed under 50% of his passes while throwing for 181 yards.

In Week 16 though, Prescott will be back under center for the Cowboys and face an Eagles squad that he has had success against in his career. The Pro Bowl quarterback is 7-3 with 2,410 yards, 16 touchdowns, and seven interceptions against them.

The Cowboys will surely have a better offense with Prescott in this game. Dallas has averaged 36 points per game in four games since the quarterback’s return (excluding the Thanksgiving day game).

Could Dallas have an even better offense than they do now if they sign Odell Beckham Jr.? This game is on December 24, giving Beckham more than enough time to get cleared and learn the playbook if he accepts an offer from the Cowboys. He is scheduled to visit the Cowboys sometime after Thanksgiving.

Even if the Cowboys don’t have a shot at the division in Week 16, this is still a massive game for the team to win. The Eagles have an elite squad and remain the favorite in the NFC. Beating them could be a huge statement win to get them ready for the playoffs, assuming all doesn’t go south in the next five weeks.
