3. Jason Garrett, 1994 vs. Green Bay

Before becoming a long-tenured head coach for the Cowboys, Jason Garrett was Troy Aikman’s backup. Coming into the turkey day game against a fellow NFC juggernaut at the time, Green Bay Packers, he was forced to start due to an injured Aikman, and he performed far better than your average backup.

Down 17-6 at the half, Garrett exploded for the performance of his life, one of which led him to eat plenty of turkey. He would go on to toss the ball for 311 yards and two touchdowns, beating the Packers 42-32, winning a game that would go on to help the Cowboys continue their dominance in the ’94 season.
